Falls Family Restaurant, Olmsted Falls

My husband & I enjoy going to hole in the wall local restaurants.  Generally speaking, there's something about the asthetics of these types of restaurants that appeal to us.  Plus the notion that we are supporting the local economy/business.

We recently went to the Falls Family Restaurant.  We had been by it countless times when we've gone to GPJ (Grand Pacific Junction) across the way (another blog on GPJ and another re the GPJ ice cream shop to come another time).

We've know extended family who have gone to the Falls Family Restaurant...Danny's folks have gone on their own; my folks have gone with others they knew from where my dad worked as an informal get together.

It's been said that you can't get into or out of Olmsted Falls/Twsp without going over a set of tracks.  Some tables in this restaurant provide you a good view of 1 set of these tracks...Danny & I enjoy watching the trains go by...so this suited us just fine.

If you live in the Mill Stream Condos "around the corner", this is certainly in walking distance.  If you are going to 1 of the festivals across the street at GPJ and are making a day of it, this is convenient and affordable as a place to eat.

Service was good...albeit I had to ask for sugar substitutes for every ice tea refill.  Prices are very reasonable.  The food was OK.  Mind you, we've only been there once.  Danny had a spegetti with meat balls.  I had soup.  While I've had soup at other local mom & pop restaurants, the soup here was OK.

I'd be willing to give it a try again and taste something different.
